WHOIS DOMAIN NAME QUERY.

WHOIS is a script that sends query to the databases that contain nameserver, registrar, registration date (or age of domain name), administrative contact, technical contact (if available) about a domain name. Domain name Registrars (such as Godaddy.com Network Solutions, Enom.com) must maintain a WHOIS database containing all contact information for the domains they 'host'. A central registry WHOIS database is maintained by the InterNIC. This database contains only registrar and nameserver information for all .com, .net and .org domains.
